Song Critique – Terms & Conditions

1. Service Description

The Song Critique service provides professional, experience-based feedback on a musical work submitted by the client (“the Song”). Feedback may be delivered in written form, audio (voice note), and/or via a live video call, depending on the package selected.

Feedback is limited to one primary focus area chosen by the client during submission, unless otherwise agreed in writing.


2. Nature of Feedback

All feedback provided is subjective and based on the information, goals, and materials supplied by the client.

Feedback reflects professional opinion only and does not guarantee any specific creative, commercial, or financial outcome. The client remains solely responsible for all creative decisions and any actions taken as a result of the feedback.


3. Turnaround Time

Written and voice-note feedback is typically delivered within 48–72 hours of submission.
Turnaround times are estimates and may vary due to workload, holidays, or unforeseen circumstances. Any significant delays will be communicated where possible.


4. Live Sessions

Live Song Breakdown sessions are subject to availability and time zone differences.

Live sessions may be conducted via video or audio call using platforms such as Google Meet, Sessionwire, WhatsApp, FaceTime, or a similar service, at the discretion of the service provider.

Sessions may be recorded. Where recordings are made, they will be provided to the client unless otherwise stated.

Missed, late, or unattended sessions may be forfeited at the sole discretion of the service provider unless prior notice is given.


5. Client Responsibilities

The client agrees to:

  • Provide accurate contact details and working song links

  • Ensure they own or have permission to submit the Song for critique

  • Clearly specify the desired focus area during submission

The service provider is not responsible for issues arising from broken links, inaccessible files, or incomplete information.


6. Intellectual Property

All intellectual property rights in the submitted Song remain with the client.

The service provider does not claim ownership, authorship, or publishing rights to the client’s music through this service.

Feedback provided may not be resold, redistributed, or published without prior written permission.


7. Revisions and Follow-Ups

This service includes one round of feedback only.

Follow-up questions or clarification may be answered at the discretion of the service provider. Additional feedback, revisions, or expanded critiques may require a new booking.


8. Payments and Refunds

All prices are listed in New Zealand Dollars (NZD) and are converted automatically at checkout.

Due to the time-based and subjective nature of the service:

  • All sales are final

  • No refunds are provided once work has commenced

  • No refunds are provided for completed critiques


9. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted under New Zealand law, the service provider shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential loss arising from the use of this service.

Nothing in these Terms limits rights under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993, where applicable.


10. Governing Law

These Terms & Conditions are governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of New Zealand.
