Frequently Asked Questions

Nope! Muse can run entirely inside your web browser. For Q&As or simple co-writing sessions, you can just click the link I send you when it’s time for our session. It takes two seconds to join.

However, for more in-depth sessions like audio sharing, remote recording or DAW takeovers, I recommend installing the app and creating an account. For Windows users, you may also need to install a Virtual Audio Cable.

While standard video apps have “music modes,” they require both of us to dig into complex audio settings, and they still struggle with audio-to-video lag.

Muse is purpose-built from the ground up for music producers and songwriters. It seamlessly routes uncompressed, ultra-low-latency 48kHz stereo audio directly from my DAW to your speakers with zero setup on your end.

More importantly, it’s built for real-time collaboration—allowing us to share screens, record audio remotely,  share files, and track ideas simultaneously without the software getting in the way of the creativity. It feels exactly like sitting next to me in the control room.

When you book, you’ll be prompted to drop a link to whatever you want to work on. This can be a rough phone recording, a stereo WAV export from your DAW, or a Guitar Pro file. The more specific you are with your goals in the form, the faster we can hit the ground running.

Depending your software, OS, and session depth, you may want to also install the Muse app and Virtual Audio Cable beforehand (see top question)

Not in the traditional sense. We won’t be practicing sweeping scales or metronome drills. This is creative production, co-writing, and problem-solving tailored exclusively to the songs you are trying to write.

Yes. Every session is fully recorded in HD video and audio. A download link will be automatically emailed to you right after we finish so you can reference every concept, riff, and tip forever.

I am based in New Zealand, but the calendar booking app automatically detects your local timezone. When you click to book, the available slots will show up in your local time—no painful time-math required.

All prices are listed in USD, as it is the global standard for international music production software, plugins, and services.
